About:

I am an Associate Professor of History at the State University of New York at New Paltz. I earned my B.A. in history and women’s studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Ph.D. in history at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I teach and publish in the areas of Native American history, U.S. women’s history, and feminist pedagogy. Some of my recent work has appeared in Women's History Review, Journal of Family History, and Atlantis: Critical Studies in Gender, Culture, & Social Justice.
